Event: AI for Business – The State of Play

By July 14th, 2022

Join the National AI Centre, CEDA and the Turing Institute to examine the state of play for AI globally and discuss how Australian Businesses are adopting AI into BAU

Event Overview

AI has the potential to offer businesses a significant competitive advantage, yet Australia remains comparatively low on the development curve. Though large organisations in manufacturing, finance and banking lead the pack, 28 per cent of organisations in Australia have not adopted AI at all. This has ramifications in terms of Australian organisations to be productive and innovative compared to their global peers.

When it comes to developing our digital capabilities as a country, it is not just about investing and building capability – it’s also about building understanding and trust. Technologies like AI require a social licence if they are to see broad adoption and the development of a comprehensive ethical framework is key to earning that licence.

Join international and local speakers, CEDA and CSIRO’s National AI Centre as we examine the state of play for AI globally and in Australia and discuss how Australian businesses are developing and operationalising AI.
